When my father went to prison, the challenges he endured were far deeper than anything language can fully express. To keep his mind steady in a place designed to break it, he turned to writing. At first, it was simply a way to survive the long, unrelenting hours. But slowly, something remarkable began to take shape. Out of his darkest moments, an entire world emerged—one built on endurance, resilience, and the ruthless choices required to stay alive.

Many of his characters were inspired by the men he lived alongside, each marked by their own scars, strengths, and stories. That fantasy world became his refuge… and his quiet way of staying connected to my brother and me, even from behind bars.

Years later, I picked up the manuscript he began. I saw the foundation of a powerful epic—raw, honest, and full of meaning. I added my perspective, my voice, and my own hardships. What began as his lifeline evolved into our shared creation. Together, we shaped a story that is more than a fantasy series; it’s a testimony to survival, healing, and the unbreakable bond between father and son.
