When my father went to prison, the adversity he faced was beyond anything words could truly capture. To keep his mind from unraveling in the chaos, he turned to writing. At first, it was just therapy—a way to pass time in a place where time had no mercy. But something unexpected happened. Out of that darkness, a world began to form. One built on survival, where only the strong endured and the weak were forced to adapt—or perish.

Many of his characters were born from the people he shared cells with, each etched with flaws and strength, pain and resilience. That fantasy world became his sanctuary… and his secret way of staying connected to my brother and I.

Years later, I picked up the story. I saw the skeleton of a saga with depth, pain, and purpose—and I added my own voice. My own trials. My own vision. Together, we created something that’s not just a fantasy series. It’s a testimony. A bridge across generations. A bond forged not in comfort, but in fire.
